Here's a copy of my speech. I tied for second but then I lost.
I would like to be your representative on the student council. I would sacrifice my recess and lunch to help coordinate and plan fundraisers and field trips on your behalf. I have a lot of great ideas and enthusiasm. For example, I’m going to try hard to get us more field trips. Also, I’m hoping that we can get a class pet which would help us learn responsibility. Some traits that I have that would help me be a good candidate is that I’m good at planning, problem solving, good at speaking to adults and I’m polite.I would try my best to help change the school for the better of the students. I will listen to your ideas and I’m looking forward to taking them to the council. I’m not promising anything, but I might even be able to get more salt on the French fries.
